Remobo

Let's suppose you have a home computer and a computer located at your work place. You may need to work from home sometimes, for example, to finish an overdue project. The question is how you do that. The answer is the Remobo software. This is basically a program that allows you to create a virtual private network between your personal and work computer, allowing you to work from home as if you were at the office. The connection is extremely secure and your files will be safe from hackers.

The installation process of Remobo takes little time to complete and requires little intervention from the user. Any version of the Windows operating system is supported for running the program. It takes up about 4 MB of hard disk space, which is less than other similar programs.

Running the program for the first time will require entering a username and password. If the user hasn't got one, he can easily create a new account by using the step by step wizard provided by the application. After logging in, the program will display in a graphical form all the connected usernames. With just a mouse click, the user can connect to a username's desktop or he can use the work computer as a proxy server, for browsing the web in complete safety.

Remobo features some options for customizing its functionality, like auto connection or starting together with Windows. The software can also be used for other purposes rather than work. For example, one can play LAN games with Internet buddies as if they were all connected to a local network.
